Description: Can you standardize the
ID7000 between users / instruments / longitudinal
studies?
Can you utilize your background Autofluorescence as a
novel parameter?
Can you avoid creating single stains regardless of a bead
or a cell?
What is the benefit of having up to 3x more detectors?
Date and Time:

8:00 PST | 11:00 EST | 16:00 GMT | 17:00 CET
Speaker: Robert Balderas, Vice President
Biological Sciences, BD Biosciences
Description: This webcast will review
the principles and concepts of spectral flow cytometry,
describe current technology innovations, and showcase some
of the exciting discoveries made possible by spectral flow
cytometry, while also discussing practical tips and best
practices for researchers who want to adopt this
technology.
This is the latest version of our groundbreaking Horizon Tour that helped flow cytometry users better grasp panel design principles toward cleaner data generation. This time, our event touches on elements of spectral panel design, deep immunophenotyping and sorting, spectral sorting and imaging with the BD FACSDiscover(TM) S8 as well as some data analysis aspects for high parameter assays.
San Diego is excited to be the newest location for this long running series of week-long workshops, which provide state-of-the-art information on cutting-edge topics in cytometry.
This presentation will highlight how the combined use of high-parameter analytical flow cytometry and advanced single-cell multiomic tools (proteomic and genomic) can help define functional murine NK cell subsets.
This webinar will provide insights for researchers who
want to learn how spectral technology, such as that on the
ID7000, can increase flexibility when using greater than
20 markers in multicolor flow cytometry experiments.

The PM Flow cytometry facility will be on weekend/holiday access from Saturday December 25 to Tuesday December 28th and from Saturday January 1st to Monday January 3rd, 2022, inclusive.
1) Base rate of Sorts on Fusion will be charged at 85/h
(corporate and after-hours fees will be affected
proportionally). We will maintain the $75/h rate on all
Astrios sorters.
2) Saturday sort requests will be charged at a premium
1.5X (after hours rate). If you have any questions or
concerns about this update, please contact us at
pmflow@uhnresearch.ca.
In reviewing the user activity on the X-20 since we implemented the new Windows sign-in method, it has come to our attention that some of you are forgetting to log out at the end of your analyzer sessions...
PM Flow continues to update its instruments to better serve the research community. It is time to retire our older instruments. The CantoII and XDP will be decommissioned, and no longer available for use as of June 22 except for data retrieval. Please back up your data ASAP. If you have any questions, please, do not hesitate to contact us at pmflow@uhnresearch.ca.
Join us on July 14 th at 12:30 pm EST and learn how to
Drive Your Flow Forward with the CytoFLEX flow cytometry
platform.
We are excited to invite you to an hour of learning and
engagement with your Beckman Coulter Life Sciences team,
Natalia Fedianina...
Our new Sony ID7000 Spectral Analyzer has arrived and is
being installed in Room 8-516!
User training will be available starting on August 16th,
2021. Please submit training requests to
pmflow@uhnresearch.ca.
Please be advised that the CytoFLEX S1 instrument has been relocated to Room 10-609 on the 10th floor of our facility in order to make room downstairs for the new Sony analyzers. This means that both CytoFLEX instruments (i.e., the S1 and S2) are in the same room now.
New! Starting from May 10, all users are required to record the 15 mins SIT and 1 min sample waste line cleaning procedures on the last tube of their experiment under BDFACS DIVA.
Join us on Thursday, May 13, 2021 8 a.m. PST for our Global Webinar - Ask the Experts: An Optimized Method for Accurate Spread Measurement and Its Use in Panel Design
FlowJo licenses are renewed annually on June 1st.
As of April 1, 2021, the PMFlow facility will require 48 hours-notice to cancel sorts on the Fusion without penalty.
It's an online flow cytometry data analysis course being organized from March 8-11 by the Royal Microscopy Society in the UK. The cost of registration is 300 British pounds.
We have recently relocated some of our analytical instruments in order to allow all instruments to be accessible at any time while maintaining appropriate physical distancing.

The flow cytometry Calcium booking calender is no longer in use. The new Booking-Calendar application from Stratocore is live today!
The first of our new Beckman Coulter Cytoflex Analyzers has arrived and will be available to our users in November. This instrument is equipped with 3 lasers (VBR) and will be capable of analyzing 13 fluorescent parameters simultaneously. Feel free to contact us for additional information and to inquire about training.
